Case Suggestion

Hi guys, today ive started building my new pc ive got all the main components apart a case / psu. Heres where i find myself lost as im really new to building pcs. Could someone please help me pick out a case / psu that will fit perfectly and house my https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=MB-180-GI (Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3 AMD 770) Mboard.

What are you after, small and compact or a large tower, clean look or lots of bling ?

Idealy a large tower and a decent sized psu so its future proof for when i stop being cheap and upgrade my gfx card. As far as how much i want to spend no more than 140-150 for both.

They all just about scrape your budget though. You'll likely struggle to find a psu and a full tower for £150

Do you think i would be able to get away with a mid sized tower instead of a large? I have no idea what my mobo size is.

Chances are, it is an ATX or m-ATX. Less likely is E-ATX.

The wiki article for ATX spec gives the dimensions of each of these board sizes, so you can compare to your board.

Main thing to check is number of backplates. IIRC, ATX has 7, E-ATX has 8 and m-ATX has 5 (or 6?).

Yeah, just about all mid towers will support ATX

my mate has the antec 300. It's a very nice case

Not sure about the psu. depends on what components you have as to how much power you will need

I have been using my Antec 300 for a few years and have had no complaints.

Recently upgraded to one of these babies. It is a lovely piece of kit. The HDD slot in the top of it is a genius idea.
