Hi chaps,

Looking to replace my Chieftec case (http://upload.yhack.net/image/9256_chieftec.jpg) with something a bit more up to date and better looking. I currently have Swiftech watercooling (120mm double rad) so having a 120mm fan at the back would be needed to I can hang this at the back again or somewhere. If it comes down to it, I don't mind not having the WC and going back to air, especially as these 45nm chips run so cool now anyway.

Ideally like to move back to midi sized case and needs to be black and good looking. Price around £50-80 ish mark. Don't need PSU as I have a Corsair HX520w already.

Looking so far at:

Akasa Eclipse 62 Aluminium Case @ £93.99
A bit pricey but has front and rear 120mm fans and looks tidy.

Antec P182 Super Midi Tower Case @ £92.81
Again a bit more than I would like to spend but my bro has this one and I really like it. Very good cooling wise.

Lian Li PC-A07B @ £68.14
Lian Li are one of my favourite manufacturer of cases as they look damn good :) Maybe not as good cooling wise though?

Anyone who has above or any other ideas, please let me know :) ta

Lian Li imo built quality is brilliant only downside is the extras you might want to buy.
Happy hunting.
also try xcase as they have a large selection there

Swapped it over tonight. Decided not to keep the water cooling as it would be too tight, so fitted a Noctua NH-U12P cooler. Also a chance to clear the dust off the mobo and graphics card.

Temps

Code:
[b]Swiftech Water Cooling (silent)[/b]

Idle
CPU - 47c
GPU - 54c
HDD - 26c / 29c (Samsung F1 & older Samsung)

Load
CPU - 60c
GPU - 72c
HDD - 30c / 37c

[b]Noctua NH-U12P (quiet mode)[/b]

Idle
CPU - 47c
GPU - 48c
HDD - 24c / 25c

Load
CPU - 63c
GPU - 64c
HDD - 26c / 28c

So with the better air flow, the HD and GPU are cooler (although a few degree of the GPU being cooler is due to cleaning some dust out, but it was already in good condition) with the CPU not changing too much.

What processor and speed is it running at to get idle temp of 47c
your idle temp is only a couple of degrees lower than mines when at full load

Intel Core 2 Duo E8400 @ 3.6 with speed step enabled (drops to 3.0 on idle).

I think I can get away with reducing the voltage a bit actually, so will see how much it drops by tonight :)
