Hi everyone, following a thread i started in GH last night, i was asking for suggestions on a new case. i thought i would move it to here and ask about the specific case that i am looking at.

Budget: £80-120
specs:
phenom ii x4 965 be @4ghz
asus M4A88TD-V evo 880g motherboard
antec truepower modular 650w
4gb corsair xms3 ram
cooler master elite 430 windowed case
samsung bd-rom/dvd rw
arctic cooling 7 pro
2x samsung f3 spinpoint 1tb hdd's in raid0
HD5850.

Requirements:
Quiet- a lot of the cases that i have looked at have large case fans which look quite loud, so personal experiences would be appreciated please:)
Cable management- my current case has absolutely none, would like area behind mobo for cables.

I really like the look of the fractal designs, and have looked at these two, but would appreciate some views on the differences between them-

and

Or if you could recommend another, that would be great:)

cheers.

btw, forgot to say that this is an upgrade due to the possibility of crossfiring, as my curent card just about fits in the 430, and i wouldn't want to crossfire in the current case. basically a larger case would suit me for a while.
also, i'll be getting an am3+ board when they come out, so thought i might as well get this at the same time.

i'm close to pushing the button on the 600t here.

unless anyone has any other suggestions/comments.

If anyone has any experience with these cases, it would be much appreciated..

cheers.

Right
It's a straight fight between the Fractal full tower, the NZXT Pahntom and the 600t

The main points, in this order, are as follows-

1. Noise levels
2. Tidiness
3. space, particularly for xfire (they are the same i think, but the chambers in the fractal look nice)
4.airflow
5. is it possible to get a side window

What do we think?

Also, Does anyone find any problems with the doors on the front of these cases?

Lian Li AF70B/71FB seems to be what you are after.

The Fractal Design XL is nice but the cooling isn't as good as some cases for around the same price however it is supposed to be real quiet and the inside is big with good cable management.

Out of the two you mentioned i would go for the Fractal Design XL.(according to some reviews they say the R3 is better however.)

i just saw a video review of the NZXT Phantom and i like it a lot. Does anyone know what the included fans are like?
i ask because i have a coouple of akasa apaches that i could swap them for if i go for it, or add to it

yeah, looking at the inside of the XL, it looks brilliant. I'm thinking that this will probably be my only case, so want a big one, which i will be able to add to for years.

I think the 600t has fallen at the first!! now its between the fractal and the phantom.
Still not sure about the case doors though/

I bought the Fractal Designs XL for a friends build and it's an excellent case, I liked it so much so I bought another for myself.

The only thing that I noticed about it that bugged me was the lack of a HD LED, apart from that it's very quiet - quality piece of kit.

does anyone know about a 3.5" front bay adapter for the phantom?
i have a 3.5" card reader. Does it come with one?

it's a very close fight between the two of them tbh

Can't you just plug the power led wire into the MB's hdd header? or is the power switch/led on the same wire?

Coolermaster HAF X is the best performing most future proof ie will fit 170mm + height coolers etc if you don't mind the looks no better case for £125.

I'd get one if in same position and budget end of the day all that really matters is quiet, ease of use and cooling ability.
