case temp monitor

i have just bought a jeantech case that has a temp monitor display in the front but im just wondering if i could read the cpu temp with this as all it is is a little probe thing or are these temp displays for case temp only ?

You're probably best off using a core temp monitor, like TAT or coretemp (perhaps Everest) as a probe won't be able to get that close.

If its just for show you could but if its a core 2 duo then as said above it won't be accurate.


Why don't you stick it to your gfx card or memory?
