how much should I ask for it or isn't it worth selling I know its getting off the point but......

There is a Members Market with a Price check forum in, read the FAQ to find out how to gain access.

Also there is no need to bump your post as CC is not that busy, and certainly no need to bump after a few hours, it doesn't go down too well here

Just noticed that i'm just about older than you ;)

Putting a pc together is seriously easy to do, the only thing that you could possibly put in the wrong way is the floppy drive cable. Even then it won't kill the drive, the light will just be constantly on until you turn it back the other way round.

Take your time and it'll be alright :)

If you really want to be picky about thermal paste *** nyou could get some Arctic Silver 5 instead of using the MX-1 stuff, that's what i did. Also, people on here have posted before about how they think the Arcti Clean kit isn't really worth the money. It leaves a cleaner finish on the cpu but using cotton buds with some isopropyl alcohol will do just fine.

Older than who? thank you for advice.

what if i got like a diagram of my mobo and circled where everything goes
are the static wristbands any good?
Older than you ;) My birthday's in March, born in the same year.

Just take a photo of your pc's guts and have a look at it when rebuilding it.

I used to use an anti static wristband but i just cba to use it anymore :o Touching a grounded object (a radiator for example) before working on your pc will do just fine.

OMFG OMFG, i nearly cried. i was sitting listening to music and voom the monitor went black, no response from any graphics output on my system, then i really started ******* myself. then in the end i plucked up courage to press the off button, I then put thing where they normally should be and powered up, (by this time i'm shaking like a *******dog) then it takes about 10 mins to boot up and all seems ok at the moment, any thoughts on what could have happened?

I've added you in my msn
sjohal2006 is the fan that came with your samurai really loud?

Many thanks, from collisster in shock

Could be many things, overheating came to mind as soon as I read that. But when you say it took 10 mins to boot up, where was it booting slow? On the windows loading screen?

Yeh it can be if the HDD has just had a faulter, or if the PSU has just had a faulter.

Does not have to completely power down, motherboard and CPU are other potential causes.

Asume your running XP fully legitamate and updated?

Just list all of the ones you have. 12v, 5v, 3.3v etc just to make sure nothing is out of the ordinary.
