Well I've finally got my hands onto a new case, a corsair 750D. Over today I'll be transferring the spec in my sig over to it, with some enermax fans which I bought along with the case from the mm :) so good bye x-blade case, hello 750D.

The PC is mainly used for gaming and word processing, nothing too power hungry.

Thanks to Tomcat825 for selling me the case and fans

Pictures will be up soon on this post :)

I will also be adding some braided cables and an LED mod to make it look extra special.

Specs:

i5 4670k
Gigabyte Z87X-UD3H motherboard
Asus GTX 760 DCUII Replaced by EVGA GTX 670 FTW Signature 2
8GB Avexir Core White Series RAM
Arctic Freezer 7 Pro Cooler (maybe soon replaced by the H100i)
128GB OCZ Vertex 450 SSD Replaced by Samsung 840 Evo 250GB
500GB WD Hard Drive
4x Enermax White LED Fans
CX600M Power Supply Replaced by SuperFlower Leadex Gold 750W
Corsair 750D case

Added: 2x Corsair SP120 PWM Quiet Edition Fans
RGB LED Mod w/ 44key remote
2TB Seagate SSHD - Mass Storage

2nd Post updated with pics

Had a few problems on the way, but that was to be expected. Taking the motherboard out of the old case, the standoffs were stuck on the screws, so I couldn't even put the motherboard into the new case, hence I did all of the cables etc first (had to wait to get some pliers to me.) Also had a brief scare when the PC powered up and the GPU wouldn't display anything. Reseated the GPU, used iGPU and everything, until I realised I hadn't plugged the modular cable into the PSU properly. Idiot.

What a great case to work in. This is my first properly cable managed build and it was pretty much a breeze. I haven't completely finished the cable management, haven't set all of the fans up and a few more things to do, it doesn't look great but is still a lot better than my old case.

Ordered up some RGB LED's for about £12, going to wire them up to a 12V molex and then I can control the colour, flashing effect etc from a remote for the LEDs :D

Will probably be soldered and fitted this weekend - pics to follow!

Cheers guys, the cable management has some improvement room definitely, especially the GPU cable which has the extra connectors on it and looks pretty bad through the window - looking to get braided cables next month, though I'd really like blue and white one's...

Recently also put one of the tops fans at the bottom where the second unused HDD cage is, and ordered 2x SP120's for the front :) (Will be transferred to H100i when I get one.)

Good stuff mate, looking nice! As said cable management looks good. Some leds will work great with that side panel - i went with white for mine.

I hope they get a move on with the replacement front panel as airflow is seriously hindered for those of us who rely on VERY good airflow. My 290s get rather hot unless i take that front panel off and allow my noctuas to do their job.

I have gone for some RGB LEDs which I am going to mod to a molex connector - they can be any colour (light blue, dark blue, green, whatever) and you can set them to flash, fade, whatever :)

I got a strip off a large auction site, a controller, remote and the end of a cable to plug into the controller off a rainforest. Got a molex connector off a fan, cut the fan off and soldered the molex 12V and ground into the end of the cable and plugged it into the controller box - job done for about £8, has a sweet remote, a massive 5m strip which you can cut and use the other cut off end of, and runs off molex - cheaper, more LED's per metre, and a longer strip than NZXT Hue. Cheaper by about £30!

Think I'm going to redo the cable management where the PSU is, where all the power leads go through one grommet and the headers for USB, power/HDD LED etc go through the second - looks a right mess atm

Holy thread revival, yesterday I did a bit of a dust cleanout and a small bit of cable management, though it's still not perfect and is a bit messy, especially the SATA cables and at the bottom for the front panel audio and fan splitter, but can't get it perfect still :/

Did a similar thing recently, only to then replace my internals with a new build. Epic case. :D

I have no HDD caddies, with two AF140's in the front running at about 75% speed, every other fan is at 40%. CPU (4690K @ 4.5Ghz) gets to ~60c and GPU (GTX970 @1270 before boost) gets to ~70c. Very, very quiet. :)

Yeah, only reason I went for the SP120s is so I can use them should I get an AIO in the future :)

Gave up on the idea of a Triton, bit too expensive for what I need - instead, I've gone for a Leadex 750W off the MM for £55, which I'll be swapping out for the mediocre CX in the near future. Pictures to come soon-ish.
