Hey guys, probably a little overly done here, but really have no idea on cases these days ive had this original first gen Akasa eclipse 62 for years, but showing its age in terms of cooling with only 2x120mm fans 1 front and 1 rear.

Ideally im looking for something similar in terms of looks, which seems to be most of the cases i see lol, size wise again on par or close, usb3.0 connections and more importantly cooling, but then again i suspect most cases these days will beat the eclipse 62 in that regard.

Budget around 70ish
Will be housing an i5 rig, 6850 graphics, 2 HDD's not SSD and then the usual stuff.
I know this is probably subjective to looks and personal preference, i dont have any brand preference, colours prefer black but others could work oh and fan choices for the case too, again this thing is running ancient vantec stealths i originally bought with the case lol.

Also not sure on the difference of having the PSU at the bottom vs the top - but with that said i like the Zalman Z9 ones, but no removeable tray?

same issue too, this summer has really shown the short comings of this case now (and mine has an extra 120mm in the 5 1/2 bays), so much choice, currently drawn towards the BitFenix Ghost or maybe the Anidees case

Its quite annoying really isnt it, the Eclipse is such a nice case, with bucket loads of space and simple clean lines, but just falling behind on the cooling side of things, im too drawn to the Bitfenix cases for some reason, not sure on the ghosts airflow from the front though.

How useful is a removable tray really ? it's so much easier to fit a cooler on to a board with just the board out then screw it in.

I own an eclipse a silverstone ft01 and a raven 3 I recommend the raven 3 looks better in the flesh the grey stripe one, I just love the design/performance of it but it's over budget.

I'd look at the corsair range in this price bracket or take a chance on a Fractal Design Define R4 which is still a solid choice, ocuk stopped selling them because of transit damage quality control issues but a lot of people buy them and they arrive fine. You'd be hard pressed to find a better case for around £70.

I'm in a similar boat, looking to replace an Akasa Omega (basically an eclipse with cutouts for 2x120 fans on both side and top). It's been a solid case for my last 3 or 4 builds, but it's showing it's age now.

I'm actually looking for something smaller and neater internally. But I'd also like good air cooling options with dust filters on all intakes. Giving serious thought to the Fractal Midi R2. Seems to tick all my boxes.

Oh yea dust is a nightmare in my Eclipse, not sure how it does it but its terrible, and with only 2 fans it gets warm in there - im sort of leaning towards a bitfenix of some sort, looking at the ghost or the Ronin which isnt out yet, they look similar to the eclipse sort of, if you squint anyway lol, the shinobi also looks ok.
