Hi, new to this site and forum so PLEASE be nice to me!:D

Anyway, looking to possibly upgrade my PC case from the curret Antec 300 (old usb 2 version without CPU cutout hole) to a more modern USB 3.0 affair. Someone owes me £50 so may put this bonus towards something decent.

Was originally looking at the Antec One or Three Hundred Two. However, the Antc P280 has caught my eye. Not into flashing lights and LED fans. Just a solid case that'll take me through further upgrades, hence the P280. The price on this site looks good too.

So what do others think. A worthy upgrade?

P.S. My sys specs are:

Gigabyte GA Z68X UD3P B3 Mothaerboard
Intel Core i5 2300
8 GB Corsair RAM
120GB ADATA S510 SATA 3 SSD
1TB WD Caviar Black HDD
Saphire branded ATi / AMD Radeon 4770 512Mb
SATA DVD RW

ThanX

billy, do you have any further opinions on it?

Just realised I've been labeled a ''thug" under my user name! Been called worse I suppose...

The 280 is a nice, large, generally quiet case that is also very well built, and at it's current price really good value :)

P.S.
The thug thing isn't personal, you'll be a gangster in no time at all ;)

Ok thanks so far. On a scale of 1-10, how much of an upgrade from my old Antec 300 USB 2 model?

Also, how does the Andec P280 compare with the Lian Li PC-7FNWB? It's an older model in their range, i.e. no USB 3.0 for example. However I have seen a clearance item for just £54 elswhere incl free del. However, it comes with no included accessories, screws etc.

The Antec P range has always been for grown-ups. When I say this I mean:
- well built
- quiet
- good airflow
- space to work in
- no flashy lights

I have a P180 and a P193. Personally I like the P193 for the side fan - but most ppl prefer the aesthetics of the P280.

It'll completely do what you want, and last a long time.
