Case with fans and controller

I can only comment on he Corsair 500r as I have one.
It comes with 4 fans pre fitted and a 3 speed fan controller button. Nice big case too with great cable management.

I've been researching cases at the moment, there seems no really pattern, however most manufacturers seems to include 2 or 3 fans regardless of how many channels on the in-built fan controller.
Seems to be one/two 120mm or 140mm in the front and one 120mm in the back. You are then left to add top, bottom, and additional front fans as required.
My guess is they consider a single front and single rear fan adequate for cooling, but the better brands / more perfromance focused products will provide a bigger fan controller to allow the cooler junkies to add more.
Why do you not want to buy separate fans? Case makers don't always include the best fans anyway.
