Who has one? Was it worth the cost? Has anyone ever changed from a caselabs case to something else?

I've only ever heard good things about them but I just spec'd up an ITX (Mercury S3) and it's almost £400!

They are fantastic cases, but the cost is very high. Worth it? It depends what you're looking for. Harder pill to swallow in UK I think, what with shipping and especially if you get stung with customs charges. They can be a case for life though, so if that's your intention then the value is more arguable. Personally, I can't justify it, as I like to change my case every couple of years, if that, and I'd also like to see them come with glass panels... I'm not a fan of perspex, but in respect to everything else they are excellent.

Thanks for the feedback. It would seem now there is an EU distributer so you cannot actually order from the USA store anymore. Im not sure if I can link on here so I won't but you can easily find it. I was also looking at the ATX variants as well, at current exchange rates you're looking at about £650 for a fully loaded one single width, smaller ATX Chassis. A lot of money!

As you say though, if it's a case for life, then it's not so bad. Do they really have longevity?

I've just ordered a Merlin SM8, which I am currently waiting on to replace my Phanteks Evolv ATX TG. Ive been looking around for a while now and it seems to be the only case which seems to tick all the boxes for my requirements. It's a shame I couldn't have ordered it in white but I can always get it sprayed once it arrives which I am thinking about.

I have a BH7 and i really love it, i'm only switching to another Caselabs case because this isn't suited to watercooling and i'm using an external setup just now.

I'll be going for one of the BH8 cases when they are released.

Most times my old cases end up getting scrapped but i'll be keeping this one for years.

I've got one but got very lucky on the MM here as it's a cube one and not straight tower but it is the best case I've owned for ease of watercooling.

Would I buy one brand new, no.

I got my SMA8 second hand. I would recommend it to anyone however even second hand it still costed an absolute bomb. Doubt i would buy one brand new though as i couldn't justify the price of it.

Owned a M8, S5 and currently still has an S3.

Changed from M8 to S5 and now to a Define S while I wait for the NSG S0.

And they are one of the best case money can buy, and if you are planning on building an awesome loop in it and plan to keep the case for a good while then it's well worth it.

I got annoyed on the long wait ordering from Caselabs direct, so last week I switched my order to use their EU distro which is mentioned above. So far I can't fault the service from them as they have been very helpful via emails my case should arrive on Monday or Tuesday this week as looking at the tracking at the moment, its in Germany.

I will confirm once its all arrived safe and sound.

Are you in the UK? I've read that Caselabs USA will not/cannot do any orders to Europe now because of their agreement with bestcases. (Also been looking on their website!)

Yes, I am in the UK. That's odd as my order was with Caselabs directly mind you I am still waiting on my refund from them.

Edit: I have just been looking on the Caselabs site and the SM8 you seem to be able order without a problem but the SMA8 won't complete the order.

I would like to see Caselabs use tempered glass on their cases... I think they could do a mighty fine job if they did so. I just can't abide acrylic having used glass for a while now, it's so much nicer.

My SM8 arrived all safe and sound so it seems from their EU distributor, it just need to put it all together now. So the details will be in my build thread. :D
