Cases with large side fans

Are cases with large (250mm and above) side fans any good? I've seem to see these more often now and I'm looking to change my case but I'm on a very restricted budget, and I wandered whether they are effective at keeping things cool, especially the graphics card.

im a big fan, of big fans . A fanboy if you will. Yes , large side fans are quite effective tbh
