Cashing a foreign check

I have a check in Australia dollars, is there anyway I can pay it into my bank account or cash it without having to use my banks low exchange rate?

You will be screwed, just find who screws the least. high street will charge a set amount then a crap exchange rate.

not being funny have you googled it and sent a few emails to companies like travelex ?

assuming its a decent amount.
