Castle Of Illusion HD coming to Steam Summer 2013

This is the classic Megadrive game starring Mickey Mouse which back in the day circa 1990 was one of the top platform games & very stylish. Now Sega are bringing it to PC this summer & the original director is involved as well.
I would prefer 2D only but they are going for 2D + 3D

Awesome! Not fussed on the potential 3D elements but I'm sure it'll be worth it just for the 2D stuff.

I only played the gamegear version, not sure how they compare?

I played the Master System version, pretty sure both the Game Gear and Master System versions are identical or near identical, with the Mega Drive version being completely different.

I hope this will be good. I completed the Mastersystem version back in the day and nearly finished the Megadrive version.

Those were proper platformers back then.

Completed this on the Megadrive a few times. I was actually playing this about a month back, it's still a very playable game.

I seem to remember her costing me around 2 Megadrive pads in utter rage!

I don't remember it being that hard. Maybe because I was a seasoned platform gamer at the time, seeing as most games were either platformers, racers or scrolling shooters.

Yeah I was a more beat em up type of player but did love a good platformer. My little brother finished it with ease, she just owned me for some reason.
