Fantastic idea just launched by Castrol and Autosport - www.castroldriverrankings.com

David Coulthard believes the new Castrol Rankings system will show who is the best racing driver in the world, across all the major categories of motorsport.

The former grand prix driver, who launched Castrol Rankings, which are powered by AUTOSPORT.com, at AUTOSPORT International this morning, explained that the new system will accurately compare the performances of more than 2000 drivers.

so how is it worked out? per season or racing life of the driver?

how is button number 1?

It is a rolling 12 months, so the drivers have to stay good to be up there.

Erm, he's been spanked by every team-mate he's ever had

Bit harsh. In his first couple of seasons he had vastly more experienced team mates. He did fine though after joining BAR. No matter what he achieves though, there will always be some that will keep knocking him. Its just the British thing to do I guess.

Over the last 12 months he has had better results than Hamilton.
