Casual WoW Players

dont pallys not get a strike until level 50 with crusader? Heh im not dissing pallys, just sayting i tried one and found it so boring and the mage so interesting :) Id say why not try out any class you want to to 20, its so easy to get them there nowadays.

I joined Argent Dawn and it is excellent. I don't RP and can go about things easily... The best thing about the realm is that NEVER have I seen GS in city chat, and I mean NEVER... and that is quite a fait with 20 k alliance

There is no enforced RP at all.

You can happily go about your PVE/PVP business.

This... some one the RP stuff i have "listened into" is highly amusing, makes for a good laugh

I found the Paladin very very boring... mages on the other hand are awesome :p

I don't think I could ever go back to playing wow casually. Casual and MMOs just doesn't seem to work for me.

+1

I couldn't stop until I knew I could defeat everyyone on the server :o

Spent way too many hours in BRM ticking names off my list.

I've taken the bait and after having not palyed for 16 months I'm currently downloading the game clients!

I've been turned by the talk of it being much more accessible to play casually now. I stopped because after finishing uni there just isn't enough time to play it like I used to, but looking forward to getting back into it again.

Like many of you I'll be setting up on Shadowsong I think with a brand new char, now if only I could make the horrendously slow downlaoder / installer go faster; 100-200kbps for 7.5GB is not fun, but neither is going through loads of CD's :(

When I played 'hardcore' that was the way I saw it too, I only wanted to play the game at the highest level, wearing the best gear and being the absolute bleeding edge, if there was no raiding I didn't log in and as soon as it became apparent I didn't have time anymore I just stopped without trying. I just don't have the time for it now, else I'd be the same again.

Well, I fired up my account again after inspiration from here and got a free 7 days.

Started playing again, incredibly impressed how easy the quest tracker is to use now, and massively impressed with the new dungeon LFG system (well I say new, I have no idea how new it is). The whole 'choose your role' and teleport straight to the dungeon and straight back to your world location once your done is a very good system.

Looks like I might be back into WoW again :)

you can play casual easy, we only raid 2 and a half hours a night 3 days a week, only Lich king HC in 25man left, so i only raid 7 or so hours a week, easy

I honestly dont understand how people level so quickly I must be doing something wrong.

must have racked up 30 hours over last 2 weeks and my hunter just turned 26 im doing a few dungeons and using Zygors guide addon for quickness. I must just suck.

Several things can affect your levelling rate;
1 You can recruit a friend and level up, this will double your XP gained until 60 when you level together.
2 If you have a level 80 you invest some badges in BOA (Bind on account) items that can give you 20% more WP
3 Get rested, this can double your XP. Get rested by always exiting in a city or an inn.
My advice is to level 2 characters and only level the most rested one, always join up for dungeons, better gear (so faster leveling) and good XP/hour. Join a levelling guild and get boosted. I have 2 accounts so I self boost and dual box. Its more costly but great fun.
Good Luck

if i roll a new char on shadowsong will i get it? can someone refer me??

You get triple XP when someone does the 'recruit a friend' option. You recieve the triple XP up until lvl 60 when grouped with them and in the same area. You will need to create a new account using the code that blizzard email you when your friend refers you.

Also, you will be able to grant them 1 level for every two you gain, so if they fall behind you, they can catch up instantly! (Or do what I did, and bam you have a lvl 30 toon when your friend reaches 60 with you!)

Google wow recruit a friend for more info (cant link to anything as I'm at work and blizzard sites are filtered out!)

so if i already have an account i cant get the bonus :(

damn... just got my DK to 70 and am now struggling to lvl it.

got a 58 priest too... enjoying that more atm tbh

I re-subbed recently, it's very quiet at the moment as someone has already said.

When I lvl'd my druid up about 6 months ago, I went from lvl55 to lvl80 very quickly purely by doing random dungeons, I specced as healer so I rarely had to queue, and just ran dungeon after dungeon. I got heaps of XP and also loads of nice drops to either use or sell.

I'm tempted to move my DK over to to shadowsong and join the OcUK guild, I'll give it some thought...

Starting WoW again soon! Damn game always has me coming back.

I have a heavily PVP Orientated 80 Mage on Magtheridon - looking to transfer.

Anyone got recommendations for a server with a decent community?

May move away from PVP and get a little more into raiding but not sure atm.
