I'm re-designing most of my home network but unfortunately I am going to need to couple 2 cat6 cables (1 could be cat 5e but I need to check).
My question is what would you recommend to do this? I have looked around and cannot decide on what product to use.
The 2 I have in mind are, http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/RJ45-Cat6-STP-Network-Ethernet-LAN-Cable-Lead-Coupler-/170534197656?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item27b4a15998
and...
http://www.cablemonkey.co.uk/cat5e-accessories/1963-cat6-inline-idc-coupler-box.html
But I am open to any other options for the best solution, as the cable in question is coming from the Virgin modem downstairs to the router upstairs and I'd like to negate any loss on the line.
Thanks,
Rich
