Apologies for yet another LOAM PC problem thread, i'm having some real grief with this POS atm, Since installing the latest Cat drivers 7.6 I can no longer launch CCC. It seems its a known issue

737-26494: Radeon Series - MOM.implementation or CCC.implementation appear after installing Catalyst Software Suite

and Ati/AMD suggest that you remove .Net 2.0 and the drivers followed by re installing them which all sounds nice and easy except you cant remove (or i cant) .Net 2.0 as windows tells me that it is in use then halts (even in safe mode it does this). All ive been able to do is repair it and reinstall the Cat 7.6 drivers, none of which has done anything to get CCC working again.

Finally I know its a driver issue as I tried 7.5 and its fine, i would use it but there's a terrible open GL bug when using a 2nd monitor.

Any thoughts before I throw this rubbish 2900 out the nearest window, I can honestly say that its been the worst card i've ever had the misfortune to own, Its getting to the point where I wish it was faulty so it could be returned. :(

cheers, ill give it a go, what's odd though is I cant find any more info on the problem other than ATI/AMD know about it, I cant even seem to find anyone else with the same problem.

Seems to be one thing after another atm with this rig

I had the same problem last night.

What order did you try to remove things?

You need to remove CCC first, then remove/repair Net2.

that solved the problem for me.

I wasn't impressed that when i first tried to install the drivers, it mentioned the net2 thing, but carried on installing anyway, but obviously didn't work. and it still didn't work when i tried installing net2 afterwards. and then reinstalling ccc. had to remove ccc (used the ati remove all software tool), then replace net2, then install ccc.

i used to use ati tray tools, but recently it started miss behaving so i went back to ccc.
