Right, this is the first time I've even heard of such a truly ridiculous thing. I've had cats years, insured and never needed to produce anything of the sort. I took my cat to the vets, phoned up the insurance and went to put in my claim, he's all sorted with vaccinations and what have you.
Now the moron on the other end of the phone is saying because I can't provide an "adoption certificate" my policy is invalid, the ID chip he had was transfered to my name when I picked him up from the home and I've owned him 18 months.
I told the guy he's talking nonsense, I've adopted numerous cats from the cats protection league and made pet insurance claims before.
But still he wouldn't let me put my claim in, eventually I called the guy an idiot and hung up. Does anyone know where I stand on this?
Do I seriously need to get some kind of "pinkslip" for my damn cat?
