Is it really called Spike? Sounds either fake or there's way too much ironing involved... 
I'd agree that this shouldn't mean that crossbows should be banned. I'm sure the vast majority of people just use them to go to clubs - are we saying that archery should be banned as well? At what point does it stop? Cars should be banned because some people use them in hit and runs, or as getaway vehicles?
