Cat D insurance claim on Civic Type-R

There is a Honda Civic Tyep R for sale at what i think is a "dodgy garage" just 5 mins from my house, just wondering if its worth going looking at or what should i look out for.

2003 HONDA CIVIC 2.0 TYPE R

33,000 miles, had Cat D insurance claim but in excellent condition throughout, any trail, £8,995 ono.

Its everything I am looking for but i couldnt afford to fix it.
