CAT D Query

How many times does it have to be explained that category C/D do not directly relate to the amount of damage? It's the cost of repair vs value of the car.

exactly ci_newman

Im not going on about the cost of repair, that damage on that fiat is structrual and how it won't need a VIC check is a laugh if repaired.

You can replace a roof. It looks bad, but if the floorpan and main structure is ok then it's perfectly repairable. It's pointless making judgements as to the level of damage from a few exterior pictures of the car.

there dont appear to be scrapes across the roof, so i dont think it was rolled... how on earth did they do that damage :D

Exactly it's entirely down to cost of repairs vs the cost of replacing the vehicle.

This is a Cat C write off, because the car was only worth about a £4.50 before the accident.

EDIT: [oldjoke] It had already been declared Cat D by the chap at the car wash[/oldjoke]
