I'm not too bothered about the resell value, would prefer a bargain i can pay off and keep!

Whats your thoughts on this bike.... What shortfalls should i look out for?

Get the insurers valuation that will confirm the reasons behind Cat D and receipts of any work carried out to replace the aforementioned parts.

It'll be hard to sell and as you pile up miles you'll lose more money on it than a non-crashed/claimed bike. Depends on the crash, if it was just a low speed lowside, I would buy it and fix it up.

You can pick them up for £4k so look for one that isn't a cat C/D.

The owner has driven into something. Bent forks repaired, light scuff damage where it's then gone over. I'd be worried about the stresses that the accident caused on the frame.

So i have two choices both same colour and age:

1) MT07 - 9k millage, minimum kit, 3k HP owning on it (which i will pay and clear on the day) - 3700 quid
2) MT07 - 15k mileage, Full kit, including a full 800quid Akra, been maintained very well, guy builds bikes for hobbie, no HPI and slightly closer to pick the bike up. 3750 quid.

What would you guys go for?

Second one, 6k miles difference is nothing and the full akra is a good system.

To be fair the guy who has the HPI works at Yam so it's legit. He just doesn't want it gone for the part x price of £3100

No issue buying a vehicle with money owed on it, just sit with the seller as he settles the finance over the phone and get confirmation. With that said, 2 does seem a better deal.

I'd go for the second one every time if it's in good condition. 15k miles is nothing, and the exhaust would swing it for me.
