Cat has been nicked

Hi all

My aunt has had her cat stolen on her Honda CRV. It is Jan 2006 model with the 2.0 petrol engine.
Is it worth replacing it? I don't know what to look for in a replacement part and costs to replace it etc

If you don't replace it, it will fail mot
you probably can get cheaper replacement ones on the bay.

As in is it worth just scrapping the car?

That car is more than £2000, the cat shouldn't be more than £300 installed

It is not that simple, you need to see where they cut the exhaust to see what is missing.
you probably need to take to a mechanic or maybe a friend that knows about cars.

This is what I thought, if the whole section of exhaust needs replacing then that is more

Cant you phone your insurance get it replaced through them ?

Could do to be fair, but probably the excess will end up more than the repair. I will ask her how much it is
