Cat tracking collars

Hi all - looking at getting a tracking collar for my cat. But as is the case with everything nowadays there is a subscription involved.

Does anybody know of a cellular based gps collar that you can just slap a pay-go SIM card in?

We went down the apple airtag route, works pretty well if you are in area that is populated enough, given the prevalence of apple products

We tried that but has now slipped 2 collars where we think the owners don’t have apple products.

Suppose I could just man up and go ask if I can wonder around their garden!

If you can find a collar device where you can self select the server it transmits to you can use the free Traccar software and have everything under your own control. www.traccar.org

Not all (not even many) cheap tracking devices allow user server selection.
