How close is too close or doesn't it matter?

I'd like to mount a VDSL modem close to a power socket too. Is there a minimum distance?

my fttc modem is about six inches from a power socket as is the master socket and a two port surface mounted faceplate, I have no sync problems.

its unlikely to be a problem but if it is you can get shielded ones.
We have them at work with them touching powerpoints.

Sareth, there doesn't seem to be an official recommendation anywhere so that's good to know, thanks.

Doughnut007, trouble is, as I understand it, the cable would have to be shielded aswell and the lot would need grounding for the shielding to be effective.
