Cataclyst 10.11 being released today

@CatalystMaker With a single 5850 should I go for 10.11 or 10.10e?
@SafetyScissor I would say go with 10.10e. My quick rule of thumb - "average" users use Cat 10.11. "Enthusiast" users use Cat 10.10e 5 minutes ago via TwInbox in reply to SafetyScissor

@CatalystMaker Hey Terry! 10.11 or 10.10e for quad 5970 with new AI settings? 10.10e are _amazing_ Any changelog? Thanks for the hard work
@maxsteep I personally would (and am) stick with 10.10e (its actually newer than 10.11 in some parts that matter to me - gaming) about 1 hour ago via TwInbox in reply to maxsteep

Should i install these??

I am running 10.10's but noticed since jumping from a 1280x1024 monitor to 1360x768 TV (running at the latter res) that f1 2010 and mafia 2 (only games i've played recently) seem to get some slowndown in parts and i am not sure if it is because i changed the res or if it is driver related, this is running on a Asus 3870 which is pre-overclocked. if it helps.

^^^ dont think a new set of drivers will help you that much. Sounds like you just need to invest and upgrade your 3 year old 3870.

6850 - £140 job done x4 the performance

Things were running fine before though. Sure i wasn't getting huge fps but the games were very playable.

Was going to upgrade in the new year anyway so maybe if i can i will in the next few weeks as i am on a 3 series card and we are now on 6 series lol.

well the memory now downclocks to 300mhz like it should in idle when overclocked, but the core still stays at 400mhz instead of 157mhz (5770)

on a side note, i dont like this new icon in the taskbar :(

Do these get rid of the "pink hue" from 10.10?

You can fix the pink hue yourself :

Open the CCC.

Select 'Desktop & Displays ' from the graphics menu in the top left corner.

In the bottom left corner there's a monitor graphic with a black triangle beside it.

Click the triangle and select 'Configure' from the menu.

Click the 'Color' tab and at the bottom change 'Color Temperature Control' to be 6500k.
