gives me an extra 300 on 3dmark06 and seems ( so far) to take all the stuttering out of FEAR-PM even though the built in benchmark scores lower

Is these finally supporting agp users with x1950pro cards now or do we STILL have to stick to drivers like 7.7's

Can that Tom somit or other beta tester for ati let us know?

the only way to find out is try them for yourself. they work for some, not for others....

I have the same setup as you and since 7.11 my issues with the x1950pro were resolved. v7.12 actually seem even more stable and cause less 'lag' when loading textures in, especially in UT3 and CoD4.

my benchmark scores have just shot up...

DX10 is still pants but DX9 is wonderful.

GPU bench 1280x1024 Dx9 64bit run in Vista 64
Score with the old hotfix drivers was circa 25fps
Now 56fps

Well just installed these, not tried any games but 3DMK06 score has gone down about 150 points.

I'll try a few games later.

Yup edited my post....been thinking about the upgrade for a while....was trying (very hard) to wait until the new intel's were out but...well....this might be enough to tip me over the edge.
