With the release imminent sometime this week :) ;) , whats on your wish list for fixes and changes, especially the HD2900XT users, personally for me It's improve the AA performance slightly and fix up the stability of the card a bit, Oh and a fix for some of the OpenGL issues.

For me it's AA that will stick when applied in the drivers  It's really getting on my nerves now :/ Performance is good atm, I just want this fixing really badly :(

What's this issue your experiencing with AA?

I have a bizzare experience when starting any Steam based game, it says.... wait for it...... "Video card drivers out of date" But I'm on the latest 7.5 drivers! This thing between ATI and Valve is very, very strange ;)
It's only started doing this a few days ago.

Basically, when I apply aa in the driver for games like oblivion (and I've checked that the .exe hasn't got renamed somehow), I've got about a 1/10 chance of it acctually applying and giving me aa. I've tryed basically every different combination of driver settings (AAA, no AAA, Catalyst Ai ect. With aa). And sometimes, very randomly it'll apply for the time that I load up a game (I've tryed it with FEAR too, so it's not just oblivion:/), and the next time I load it without restarting my comp or chaning any settings, I'll end up with no aa in-game

I'm just waiting for a release that focuses on increasing overall performance. Besides my "checkerboarding" issue, that I am yet to work out if its software or hardware, I'm happy with HD 2900XT stability and features for the software I run. :)

Id like to see the performance increased on the 2900, i rekon it'll be nearer the GTX in even more cases, and beating it in more as well, gota be good for the price.

yup same here :) Gonna be looking at the performance of the HD 2900 in some of the benchmarks, if i like 'em I'll get one!

I want these drivers to fix stalker performance issue :D

I can't say I believe ATI can squeeze much more performance out of the 2900, but boy do you guys have a hell of a lot of faith.

Of course they can, the drivers are hardly mature, being what, a whole 2 releases old.

I'm not saying that there will be phenomenal increases, but increases WILL happen, you only have to look at the history of past cards to see that this is almost always the case, for both manufacturers.

We have only had one official WHQL release

I have the same problem too with the settings in CCC not applying in games. I am now using Ati Tray Tool with Catalyst 7.5 and it works a treat. The latest ATT has support for 2900XT I believe.

I wouldn't believe any of them reviews any more regarding stalker. I've just upgraded to an HD2900XT. I play stalker a lot(my favourite game) and I play with ALL the setting sliders to the right, and all the Sun & Grass Shadows enabled, with full dynamic lighting. The resolution is set a 1680x1050, and i also go into the console and turn on fast bloom and stalkers AA(not sure if it actually makes a difference mind you :P) and my frame rate never drops below 35fps, except when sometimes going into a new area and its loading up new textures etc. I get generally a stable 40-50FPS, I know some people seem to want faster, but it does me just fine.

I can't see why they couldn't even out the performance tbh, its already showing in some that its right up with the GTX, and even beating it, they just need to sort the performance so its consistent, as it still falls behind the GTS in some instances.
