Renaming Furmark.exe almost tripled my fps and increased my temps upto about 15-20c.

I didn't know about this, I will give it a try.

Remember to test without renaming first, then raname the exe (not the shortcut) and test again.

I think there's a bug with the 8.8's and furmark..... When I run the exe the clocks on my 4870x2 do not jump to 3d mode.

The drivers can't be recognizing it as a 3d app.....

I read it's because ATI deliberately lower the clock speeds as Furmark was killing quite a few cards as it overheats them.....
