Catalyst install issues

I've just replaced my mobo with a Biostar TPower, reinstalled XP and the like, but I'm encountering a really odd problem.

The generic VGA drivers allow me to get in to XP and post this message, but I've tried installing Catalyst 9.1, 9.4 and the 9.5 Betas, and every time, after rebooting, after the XP loading screen passes, my monitor just loses signal.

Any ideas?

I had this, and this was my fix for it.

Boot in safe mode and uninstall the Catalyst and CCC. Then reboot back into standard Windows. Go to Device Manager, right-click on your display device go Properties>Driver>Driver Details. It should bring up a list of files which are related to the driver. Manually delete every single one of these files from your system folders. Once thats done, restart and install 9.4.

Thats what worked for me, the Catalyst uninstallations seemed to leave remnant files which would then conflict whenever I tried to install others.

Lol, was me being silly, had my tv hdmi cable in the primary DVI port, so when booting up it was using it as the main display, but as I had the tv off at the time, I didn't know that.
