Hallo :D

Reently been having shutdown problems on my Core i7 machine after I have done the usual Start>Shutdown>Shutdown routine.

Both my screens go blank with a message saying No Video Input and you think the computer is gonna shutdown too....but it just keeps humming along. One time I waited 20 minutes and it kept going. I have to hold down the power button and then it shut down.

:(

After 4 days of testing I finally found the problem.

Its the ATI Catalyst Control Center (CCC)

I uninstalled it completely and then used the computer without it and flawless shutdowns resulted. I then downloaded ONLY the display driver from the AMD site - and no problems.

Just to make sure I then installed CCC and the problem reappeared. I have therefore gotten rid of CCC again and have just downloaded only the display driver from the AMD site. Problem solved.

Until I fired up flight simulator. I like to play flight sim in windowed mode. However anti-aliasing (AA) does not work without CCC! The in-game AA does not work at all. I install CCC and *ding* I have AA back in windowed mode.

Any of you had these issues?...any suggestions much appreciated.

Also....nHancer is there for nVidia cards....is there such an app for ATI cards or are we stuck with just CCC?

Thanks
