Catalyst won't remember settings & no Overdrive

I've had this problem for ages now ( http://www.rage3d.com/board/showthread.php?t=33988806 ), over the last few releases. It's the same with 12.8

The overdrive terms and conditions page won't go away! I click accept and it takes me back to the Catalyst home page and the performance tab disappears.

Also on the home page the "allow web content" and" show this page on startup" are not remembered if unchecked, and don't work!

Is it something to do with .NET? I have all the latest .NET updates including .NET 4, but it makes no mention of requiring anything higher than .NET SP1

This is in Windows 64bit, fresh install. Is it a known issue?

I have had this exact same issue recently as well when I did a fresh install of Windows 7 64bit and installed 12.6 drivers.

I made sure Windows was up-to-date, I made sure i had all the .NET updates but the problem still occurred. Searched for a solution but found nothing to resolve it. I uninstalled and tried 12.4 drivers and the problem was gone. For me this isn't an issue as i've got a HD4850.

Have you tried using an older version of the drivers?

Thanks for the info; tried an older set and yes the problem goes away.

The one thing people seem to have in common is a fresh Windows 64bit install.

What I can't work out is why this issue isn't more widespread, because if it was it would have been fixed by now surely.

I've never had to use overdrive so can't comment, but I have noticed after every catalyst update I always have to increase the scaling options to reduce the bands around the screen. If I didn't restart my pc aftwerwards, but say logged off or hibernated then catalyst wouldn't remember the scaling settings and it would reset itself.
