I've been catching up with old series lately. I'd always avoided the modern Battlestar Galactica as I fondly remember the original 70's series from my childhood. Surely the 'modern' version couldn't be as good? How wrong I was. It's fantastic. I've got to halfway through series two so still have a way to go.

...and now revisiting Life on Mars too. Although I'd seen this and loved it the first time around it has been quite a few years and I'd forgotten quite how good it was.

Gene Genie: It's 1973. It's lunchtime and I'm 'avin Hoops!

Gene Genie: (to kids in the street) If anything 'appens to this moror I come over and stamp on all your toys!

So ladies and gentlement what else shall I revisit?

Early 'minders' are good, I was a little young when they were first aired to appreciate just how good george Cole was in this. The later ones are really obvious they were running out of ideas
