Cakegate: Ex-Coronation Street actress Catherine Tyldesley hits back after 'bizarre' row with Three Little Birds Bakery over free cakes

Three Little Birds Bakery said it declined a request from an events agency to make a cake and 100 cupcakes for the birthday of a "well-known" celebrity - later revealed to be Tyldesley - in exchange for promotion on social media and in a magazine.

Influencer wanted free cakes instead of paying for them herself and the bakery said no. Influencer throws babies out of the pram. Bakery gets free exposure and influencer looks like a prat.

What has gone wrong with our society, influencers are genuinely scum of the Earth.

Imagine if the bakery took them up on the offer and baked the cakes FOC only to find out afterwards the 'well known' celebrity an ex soap actress that you had to Google and someone who hasn't done anything of note in years. I would be pretty miffed.

Ok so now she's claiming to be the victim in all this saying the agency has 'mis-represented her', I'm not sure about that if she got those cakes for free I doubt very much she would be asking lots of questions as to how this came about.

There was no contract and based on what I read they do this a lot and promise more work and then nothing ever comes.

The bakery was absolutely right to reject it, are celebs now so hard up they can't afford to eat?
