Cathode problem

hi,
i recently bought a set of blue cathodes from a popular auction site.
when i went to plug them in on via the inverter and the swith cable that comes with it i switched it on and off and the screen went of and it was as if my computer went to sleep but it like turned of but didnt power down
can anyone help me with this, or if they have had the same thing before how do you sort it?

I seem to have this problem, think gonna scrap the lights, I want a new case with out any kiddy windows.

i was told by someone that it could be overloading the psu but i have a 750w so it shouldnt really?
