hi im a complete retard and broke my cathode tube while fitting it tonight, its my first time putting 1 in and didnt really think it would be so weak - the glass is in tact but the cathode is snapped. Anyway happened cause when im working on the computer i grip it by the edges and forgot it was there. Just wondering where the best place to put it is? that 1 was going along the bottom next to the left side cover but dont think its the best place. Its a lian li PC7 plus and the side cover has to snap in on the inside. I was wanting to put it somewhere out the road but good for light, any suggestions?

im guessing the tube inside broke.

coldcathodes are cheep and arent too much of a worry if they break.

i ended up breaking 4 fitting them to a friends scooter :P

it was late and i think we were a wee bit drunk :D

i did have 6 on my computer at one stage but in the end i took them out,

however my new system will have 2 :D :D :D

yea so anyway dont worry about it, your not the first and you sure as hell wont be the last to break a cold cathode .

but a new set, mine only cost me about £3 ex delivery
im sure the bay has some on there for cheep.

You don't want to fir then too close to the sidepanel, as the light will shine across the window, showing up any scratches. You also don't want the cathode in direct view, as it looks rubbish. Ive got mine mounted about 3 quarters of the way towards the window side of the case, on the ceiling of the case. This way it can't be seen directly and it doesn't show up scratches.
