Catproofing top fan vents

I'm looking at a couple of budget cases - I really like the look of the Cougar Volant 2 - but, I have three cats who take it in turns to snooze on top of my PC, and the Volant has twin top fan vents. Not that I really need top vents.

I can't find anywhere selling blanking plates, but I was thinking if I put in a couple of ultra-cheap low flow fans with dust filters on both sides, it might stop cat hair falling through the top?

That would probably work, but It'd be worried for the cats.
What about the Define S? They stay closed unless you decide otherwise.

Just glue a piece of card or similar to the roof of the case on the inside. Use the rear fan position. Problem solved

Good call but - top mounted Power/Reset buttons. The cats would be rebooting my pc for me every time they stretched. And then there's drool in the top mounted USB sockets to contend with.
