Sealed in my Sarcophagus.
Just had a real brown pants accident, thankfully i managed to survive the dreaded drink+pc calamity!

Was testing a web cam i had in an old box for a friend, as im grabbing it off the monitor it slipped and caught my half glass of cordial i had on my desk!... fair bit dropped on the pc and being an air 540 its open top! DRIP! DRIP! DRIP!

Never reached for the wall switch so fast in my life!

Just spent an hour stripping the pc down, and with copious amounts of paper towels and blasts with the hair dryer i have managed to expunge all traces of the water!

Powering back on was a bit nerve wracking but seems i have lived to tell the tale. :D

So remember all..... keep your drinks either on the other side of the desk or LOWER than the pc

I did that repeatedly as a teenager.

One time, I tried turning in on every day, but it kept cutting out. Took over a week for it to dry out and work again. Pretty stupid really.

My 540 Air sits on a 2-3 foot high cabinet beside my desk to prevent that happening - aslong as I don't have an accident standing up with a glass.

my wife got apple juice in my mech keyboard a few months back - and chose not to tell me, just wipe round the edges. It just stopped working properly and took me a while to work out why. I cleaned it out a lot and it works again now, though several keys action just isn't right :'(

I had a similar incident with a laptop and a glass of red wine. I was sitting on the floor with both stood up and accidentally kicked the glass of wine on to the keyboard. Pulled the battery straight away and stood it on end for a couple of days, turned it back on and to my amazement it worked fine :)

Haha nice save :D I've done that to a few PCBs, but nothing in my PC fortunately! Lots of paper towel and time :p

i've spilled orange juice in a laptop before... after drying out it all operated fine, but no matter how hard i cleaned i couldn't get rid of the stickiness.

worst thing to ever happen to a pc of mine was when i left it in the front room so others could use it if they needed. Was my first big build including a G1 assassin 1366 board. a i7 930 and a gtx 580 in a haf X along with other comparable components.

SOMEBODY decided to use it whilst eating a bowl of cereal and left the bowl on top of the pc. I was annoyed by this. But more annoyed later when i could smell something sweet coming from my pc. It was sugar caked all over my gpu and inside the entire system.

Luckily i had the equipment handy to clean it all out and moved it to another room :D

Glad your pc lived .

Never managed to spill anything in my PC owing to it being on a shelf way away from everything else, but a friend did manage to spill the best part of a pint of beer in to my K70 RGB last month, it was pretty much ruined at that point but the hair dryer melting the majority of the keycaps finished it off nicely.

I spilled a mug of hot chocolate into the back of my beloved Sony 17" trinitron monitor many moons ago. I'd like to say I leapt for the power socket in a smooth cat-like fashion but I didn't - while I screamed and flapped my arms around my missus got to the plug and came up with the idea to use the hair dryer in the grill at the back for several hours. Worked fine the next day and I had a nice chocolatey smell for weeks afterwards when I turned it on. Nowadays everything is positioned with spillages in mind :)
