I've seen a set of thse for sale and as my son wants a drum kit for his birthday, I'm wondering if this make is any good? They're also very local so I'm interested in these.
thanks.

They are a £250 drumset which means that basically they are crap. The cymbals will sound OK for a few weeks and gradually turn to tin pots. If you think that he is capable of being good and doing something then you need to spend at least £500.
My advice would be to scour the second hand market for Pearl Export or Yamaha Stage Custom and you're in a completely different league.
My other advice would be to send him for some drum lessons and see how he gets on before parting with cash.

As above really. Don't go near CB with a 6 foot bargepole unless you really have to - there are some great deals to be done on Pearl Exports / Yamaha SC / Tama Rockstar's / Mapex M or Pro M / Gretsch Catalina etc

Cymbals-wise I'd be looking at Sabian B8 / Paiste PST3/PST5's to get someone going, although the PST5's are fairly expensive for beginner cymbals as they are semi-pro :)
