CBR125 Opinions?!

As per title, I'm on the verge of buying one of these.. I was originally planning on getting a YZF-R125, but its over a grand more expensive and for a first bike, I think I felt a little bit more comfortable on the CBR.

Its £2100 for a 2007 bike with 1600 miles on the clock, 1 owner, FSH.. Thats with tax and MOT till July next year. Its a nice clean bike, no scratches or dents. Is that good or over priced?

Its just for me to ride around on for a year or so until I've built up the experience to take the DAS..

I'll phone them in the week I think and try and haggle on the price a little bit, see if I can get him down under 2k.. To be fair, I was fully set to spend £3300 on an R125 but kind of fell for the CBR after seeing it and sitting on it!

Yeh, pretty much! I did my CBT on a YBR125 and it was a good little bike, just prefer the look of the CBR..

It was a used YZF as well, but it had alarm, immobiliser, 800 miles on the clock and over a year warranty left.. I felt the YZF was a bit big for me though which was the main thing. I'm only 5'10 but it felt a bit high and I felt more comfortable on the CBR for my first bike. I have looked around near me as well for other YZFs but within a reasonable distance they are all about £3k.

I was originally planning on just doing the DAS, but the missus persuaded me to spend a year on a 125 first.. Plus I think I'd rather build up my confidence on something smaller and more manageable first!

I did look at other 125s but to be honest i didn't like the look of them and I had the cash to spend so thought I might as well spend it on something I liked the look of! I hunted round this area for another CBR125 but they were all still priced around the £2k mark some with about 15k miles on! So I thought I might as well go for this one, I like the look of it and its low miles, I did manage to get £100 off the price so it wasn't too bad and I put my deposit down today!
