many thanks

Firstly, man up, listen to the instructor and just get it over and done with.

If you think too much you will scare yourself, so just relax and the day will be over before you know it.

If your like me and quite tall, and cant steer the bloody bike then tell the instructor... that was my downfall on my first CBT :P.

yeah I'm 6"4 and I'm probaly gonna struggle with the small moped so I'm gonna use my bike that I'm picking up on the same day as the test centre is based at the dealer :D
before you ask its a Spanish rieju smx50
I'm realy exited

Classic mistake, you should never buy a make that isnt popular... the parts will be a pain in the ass to get hold of.

the main importer is only in sheifield also the engine is a minerelli am6 which they use in all the geared 50's so I'm not to worried and my dealer is 5 mins down road

Will be booking mine in May when Uni deadlines are over, take it no previous scooter/bike experience is required for this? I already had my car license for 3 years and drove for about a year so understand the road well and doing my theory test tomorrow too.

No previous experience.

I done CBT and my restricted license (DAS for under 21s) within a week, and i had never been on a motorbike or ped before.

Don't fret about it, if you can't pass you cbt first time then biking is probably not for you, you need to be serious numpty not to pass

Although the CBT isn't too difficult, that's a pretty poor attitude to take. If you're tall, never ridden a geared motorcycle before and maybe don't even ride a push bike much, I can see it being a little more difficult.

If you want to do it, don't give up! We'd have died out as a race long ago if we all took maccapacca's view.

I didn't pass first time and I'm not ashamed to say that. I'd never ridden a geared motorcycle before and I hadn't used a bicycle for the best part of 15 years. I failed because I couldn't do a U turn. Now what part of that is down to being a serious numpty?

The problem with this sort of attitude is that it genuinely dissuades people who don't have an innate natural ability and have to work at it instead.

Another problem is that the test standard varies wildly between different training schools. I've heard of people crashing on their CBT and still passing. That's just ridiculous.

I'm not worried about it as a few years back I had a yamaha ttr125 so I'm ok with gears I was just wondering if there was anything to look out for that there picky with in the test
