I have been trying to get CCC (catalyst control center) to run on my laptop but for the life of me I can't. When I run the shortcut in the start menu, or by navigating to "C:\Program Files (x86)\ATI Technologies\ATI.ACE\Core-Static\CCC.exe" nothing happens. The mouse icon flashes to the loading ring for a few moments, then stops. Nothing appears in the task manager and the program isn't even listed as installed in the control panel.
I have already tried simply reinstalling and uninstalling all ATI files & drivers, deleting the directories and cleaning the registry of ATI entries, however this did not work and managed to kill my HDMI output (I fixed that with a restore point). Before I attempted that the directory for the CCC was entirely empty. In both cases however, the ATI installtion manager thought that CCC was installed correctly. I'm currently running win 7 64 bit, on a dell studio 15 laptop with a HD 5470 and I really don't know what to do.
