Basically, this speeds up Firefox by removing unrequired data that Firefox builds up over time. To enable this option, click the 'Applications' tab, then tick 'Compact Databases' under Firefox

I use that Vacuum add on for FF for doing that, works really well.

Will see how this goes later when i get home. :)

weird, mine does it almost instantly..

what AV are you running? maybe it's conflicting with it, try turning that off and doing it (just to see)

i'm not running any AV. :p

it's show the time it takes at the end. 12 seconds with that option on. 0.2 seconds if turn it off. :D

Thanks.

I've had a problem with Firefox loading very slowly, for a while now. This seems to have fixed it.

just tried a fresh firefox profile and it took around 1.5 seconds. so it doesn't like my old profile for some reason. but i only created this profile a few weeks back. i don't even have that many extensions/bookmarks. oh well, i'll just turn it off. i've managed without it until now. :p

Thanks for the headsup anyway. I'm a good few versions behind as it is. May as well update.

What's the difference between the normal and slim version?

only difference as far as i'm aware is that it doesn't ask you to install the google? toolbar when installing the slim version
