Hi,

In CCleaner in the applications tab it lists some of the programs you have installed.

Are these all the programs that use some sort of temporary files that can be deleted? Or does this mean something else?

Got it in one

You can untick IE for example, if you only wanted to clear out Firefox etc.

I mean the programs like Windows Movie Maker, Sun Java etc.?

Yeah, its exactly what you said, just removes temp files. Like in Movie Maker it might remove the part which shows *** recently opened files for instance.
