CCTV equipment...

last night somebody stuck a cone on top of my new car that i only picked up on friday, with several things written on it, not threatening, but they knew my name and they wrote a phone number on it, i've tried phoneing it but no answer as of yet. so im looking to get CCTV equipment to be able to keep an eye on the carpark. will only need a couple of cameras and also the relevent recording equipment.

where from?

and how much?

thing is it would like it to be constantly recording, well at least all through the night. so through the computer would use a lot of disk space? and not sure if VHS tapes are up for the job.

well most VHS's only record something like 3 hours dont they?

hmm this equipment is starting to look rather expencive. maybe i would be better off going for an alarm with proximity detector.

im guessing it is only a wind up, it wasnt threatening in any way, they knew my name, was decorated in ribbon and it had a tiara lol. but they've ripped the cone off of a traffic island just up the street, i think i know who it is but i cant be sure, i've rang the number written on it and it was some lassy called amanda, dont know anyone and she says she dont stay locally. just getting really annoyed, at least they aint damaged my car, ill get some pics uploaded.
