Agreed, these are the best ways to stop drive-aways. My dad was always one for disassembling half the car electronics every night! That said, one of our neighbours had his car craned off his driveway... I'm also not sure if the E60 will have a small fit every time you disconnect something.Fuel stop switch hidden in the car. Flick it off when you get out and the car won't start.
Remove a fuse or two when you get out, same as above.
Have been looking at bollards for the driveway. Our plans will make it a bit too wide for anything much though - probably an 8 metre gap.I stopped a landrover being stolen 2 years ago, the guys now put a massive metal pillar in the middle of his drive. He raises it every night and locks it into place.
I think if the car is sat on the driveway close to the house, there's a security floodlight and obvious CCTV, it would hopefully go some way towards deterring a theft. As it is the car is 60ft away from the house, so noises will go unheard etc.CCTV won't stop them taking it, just record them doing it. Security lighting also as a deterrent but again, doesn't really stop them.
I figured 6mm as they will be 20 feet in the air and the garden is c. 60 feet long. I will look in to it in more detail before purchasing, but thanks for the warningOverall I tend to prefer, unless specific needs differ, the dome over the bullet cameras as they seem more robust and more impervious to scum bag attack.
Ensure that you need the 6mm lens, only two of my six cameras have 6mm lenses and the others have 4mm. In some situations maybe a 2.8mm lens is more applicable.
I have the same NVR as you have noted and it is great with my six cameras, maximum of 4 POE type directly powered from the NVR and 40 mb/s recording rate. But I use a Netgear POE switch.
I have a 4tb WD purple fitted.
