hello all!!!

Right ive borrowed my dads laptop for a few weeks because my pc broke. And now for some reason i cant use any like usb memory sticks or cd's. The usb memory stick says i need administrative privilages or something to access the stick and cd's just spin round but nothing happens. Ive tried going to explore and trying to open D drive that way but it just says no disk in drive.

All ive installed since having the laptop was...

AVG 7.0
Spybot
microsoft anti spyware
zone alarm firewall
ad-aware remover

any help will be great. cheers

is it his works laptop? if yes it may have a gp controling what you can and cannot do.

If not then check the user account that you are using by typing "control userpasswords2" in the run box and looking at the privalages section.
