CD/DVD rom drives

I was wondering if someone could recommend me a decent CD/DVD rom drive and also a DVD/CD RW drive.

mine are quite old (came out of a old XPS600) and don't always pick the cd/dvd up.

any help would be appreciated as i know very little about which drives are best etc

There was a poll conducted earlier this year on this forum which might help you decide. The Samsung drives appear to come out on top and are stocked by OCUK!
