CD keys not working?

Just bought 2 games from Get Games and they sent me the codes for them form steam but everytime I try using them steam says there invalid

What should I do now ? :mad:

Tried with and wihout dashes? Exactly as typed? It could be a steam issue. They have been getting hammered after christmas due to all the new games and patches!

What games? There may be a known issues. Are they deffo steamworks games?

Yeah I seen before I got them that they were both steam and the emails with the CD keys tells me to activate them on steam

Civilization V CD Keys in this format: 1AB2C-D3FGH-456I7-JK8LM-NOP9Q
Deus Ex: Human Revolution Keys in this format: 1AB2C-D3FGH-456I7

Just so you can check the keys are in the right format for Steam

The Deus Ex one is right but the Civ 5 one is not ?

I had a problem with a key from Get Games yesterday for Footy Manager 2012. The key they sent me was also invalid. Give their support an email they were very quick on the case (got a reply back at 11pm at night on boxing day!) and were quite helpful.

Well I emailed them at 7:30ish yesterday and got an instant out of office reply saying they weren't in until the next working day. Which it was to my surprise that my phone went mental later on at around 11ish with a reply from a friendly chap called Dermot.

The problem wit my order was my card was declined so there system, instead of telling me the transaction had been declined instead generated an invalid key. Sounds like a stupid idea to me but seams to be geared at card fraud rather than abusing my wallet. If you got internet banking (who hasn't these days?) check your balance as they had not taken anything from my account.

Nothing has been taking from my account yet but I orderd it at the same time as some watercooling stuff from another website

Well fingers crossed they sort you out dude. I know how you feel. I was livid last night, felt like I had been robbed and given a note saying "Ha Ha" in the vain of Nelson Munce.

Got a reply and they said my card was declined and they didn't know the reason so I just reorderd and it worked perfectly
