I bought an audio CD yesterday and have tried popping it into my computer. However nothing appears to play the songs?
Winamp just starts a few seconds of the first song - and then skips through the entire album in seconds. VLC appears to go further, but I lose all control after the first fourty seconds or so. Windows Media Player doesn't work, neither does the blank free version of it.
I have just tried it in my hi-fi CD player and all appears well.
Why is this? Has this stupid hum buggeration of a CD got so much copy protection that the software just refuses to play it?
